Want to hear a dirty secret?  Okay, here goes:  I have never had a pedicure.

Can you believe that?  I am pretty self-conscious about my feet. If I were forced to go to a nail salon, I’d probably go ahead and cut my own nails, exfoliate my feet, and give them a good moisturizing rub-down before going.

Oh they do all this for you???

Seriously, I am that self-conscious.  I wouldn’t want them to see my feet in it’s worst shape.  I’d be absolutely mortified.  In all honesty, I would feel bad for them having to give me a pedicure.  It’s better to pretend like it’s not my first rodeo, and do some sort of maintenance on them beforehand. Know what I mean?  Probably not.  I’m such a weirdo.

Anyway, I discovered a solution for some quick overnight relief.  This stuff is absolutely AMAZING.  I am not easily trusting of beauty products that boast about all that they can do.

First, the cost is usually ridiculous for my wallet.  Like that one time I spent about $30 on a 0.5oz tub doll-sized bucket of Kiehls creamy eye treatment and I don’t think it did a thing.  Second, I am usually too busy wondering if I put on a bra and brushed my teeth in the morning; not whether the product made a difference to the dark circles under my eyes. (perks of mom life, if you ask me)

This product is different.

It’s not even a beauty product.  You’ll never guess what it’s actual use is for.  And I heard about it via word-of-mouth, which makes me more than happy to try it.

There you have it.  My dirty little embarassing-for-a-girl secret and a review of Bag Balm.  I think the “Women’s Committee of All Things Women” would revoke my woman card if it weren’t for the fact that I do try and keep my feet maintained.  For the most part.

Still working up the nerve for that pedi…

Not sure where you would get this on the street, but I rely on Amazon to refill my orders.  Let me know if you try it; I’d love to hear how it worked out.

  1. I need this for my hands. My hands are so raw… especially in the winter. I've tried everything on my hands and nothing works. I've done cotton gloves with cream (like you mentioned in your video that you do with your feet) and that doesn't work. I should try this!

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. You totally should! I just put some on my daughter tonight. She has eczema and we try EVERYTHING to relieve any discomfort with her hands and feet. This is good for her when her outbreaks aren't too bad. Mainly to keep the dryness at bay. Darn eczema.
