Been a busy week here. It’s the last week before S’s dance recital and we have been through 2 dress rehearsals so far. Last night was a l-o-o-ong night. We didn’t make it home until 10! That’s a long day for a 5-year-old. I brought A along so she could experience it. She is going to start ballet later this year and so far she’s pretty pumped.
Tonight is the big performance. Yay! We are all looking forward to seeing all the girls (and guys) who have been working hard all year.
In lieu of my busy evening, I figured I might as well get my recap out now since it will be another long night.
These treats are highly requested in my house. Definitely one to keep in your recipe binder.
Find out how to make these delicious high-energy snacks here.
I was featured on the SoMe2 social media link-up this week. I couldn’t believe that I won something! Pretty awesome if you ask me.
Read about that here.
This is the link-up post where I was featured. You can browse and check out some of the other bloggers who partied with us, here.
Having a hard time shopping for that graduate?
I created a list of gifts, to help spark some inspiration. Want to see what I made it on my list? Take a look here.
As you know, we are gearing up for L’s first birthday party. So far things have been moving along at a pace I am comfortable with. I have been cruising along, crafting and creating at my own pace.
Weather has been the culprit for not being able to paint. Humidity, like rain, can sure kill a painting project. So we are going to kick it up a notch this week. I’m going to be finishing projects and creating my shopping list for the menu.
I’m excited. I’m looking forward to seeing this party come to fruition. I just hope that I don’t overwork myself, as Big D says I will.
We shall see.
So look out for my party prepping series of posts. I want to give you a full recap!
Oh yes, humidity is the worst for painting! I assume you don't have air conditioning… that usually helps when painting in humid conditions.
Thanks for sharing Dee! Off to check out that gifts for grads post! My brother graduates from university next year!
Wishing you a lovely week.

I don't think I'd survive without air conditioning. I don't have it in my work shed, and when I'm spray-painting, I do that out in the open. It has actually cooled a little, to the point where I got out just today and did some painting. Whoohoo!
Oh I hope you find something useful on the list, or at least an idea! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're off to a great start this week.

Thank you so much, Becka!!! I think my favorite part of the show is when the littlest ballerinas come out and perform. 🙂
