Sweet Pretzel Treats

Today was one of those days where I just needed to do something in the kitchen. Although there was no baking involved, this was a temporary fix.

You can make these for any holiday, but since Halloween is near I figured “why not?”

You need:
Pretzel rods
Melting chocolate of your preferred color
Sprinkles
A tall cup or container (microwave-safe)
Wax paper

Heat up the chocolate as instructed, increments of 10-15 seconds stirring each time. I normally add a little olive oil so if you do the same, skip this part. You don’t want it to be too runny.

Dip chocolate, shaking off any excess. While turning it in your hand, pour sprinkles onto the melted chocolate. place on the wax paper to harden. I found that it’s best to use a food amount of sprinkles so that when you lay it on the wax paper the chocolate doesn’t come into contact with the wax paper. I’m a perfectionist, I like it to be pretty. πŸ™‚

Choose your holiday bag and once they harden you can stuff them in the bags to give to your neighbors or co-workers.
